Westlake Prays will be halted during Lent and resume after Easter on March 31. All peoples of Faith are invited to join together each Thursday evening @ 5:45 to pray for the needs of our world. Westlake Prays is sponsored by the Westlake Ministers' Forum and is hosted at a different church building each week. [Click here for more]

Purpose: Through the Children’s Liturgy of the Word children present at one of the Sunday Masses have an opportunity to experience the Scriptures at a level more suited to their age and understanding. Following the entrance procession, children generally between the ages of five and eight adjourn to a separate area where the Children’s Liturgy team members proclaim the readings and engage children in appropriate activities associated with the message they have heard. As the prayers of petition are begun, the children join their families once more in the church.
Commitment: With a minimum of three teams, consisting of three persons each, no individual will be required to participate more than one Sunday per month. It is envisioned that a participating team member, depending on one’s particular role (i.e., leading the gathering or reading the Scriptures or keeping order), will not need more than two hours of preparation for each session in which he or she is involved.
